Yesterday afternoon, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Cui Yonghui went to Cenhe Town in Shacheng District to investigate and supervise the construction progress of Jingzhou Civil Airport.

After onsite checking the site planning of Jingzhou Civil Airport and listening to reports from relevant departments, Mayor Cui Yonghui said that seizing the airport construction is to seize the opportunity to effectively promote local economic and social development.He suggested that Shashi District should take the initiative to shoulder the primary responsibility, attach great importance to coordination and overall planning, and to select elites and experts to work together to form a joint effort to overcome difficulties. Relevant departments should cooperate unconditionally to improve the security system, and to ensure high-level design and high-standard construction, in order to make Jingzhou Civil Airport into a landmark. The construction units should shorten the duration of the project by make systematical plan and accelerate construction proceedings, and to organize the construction in the best way, push forward the progress of construction by schedule, to ensure that the airport can be built early and benefit our citizens.

Itis reported that Jingzhou Civil Airport is about to be build as a domestic branch airport, located in Cenhe Town, Shacheng District. The airport was designed according to the standard of annual throughput of 700,000 passengers and 2,450 tons of cargo and postal. So far, the land procurement and relocationof Jingzhou Civil Airport and pre-qualification bidding work has been completed, the airport overall construction will be started.
